Sri Lankan influencers Anushki and Kanushki Premachandra have taken legal action over an AI-generated video falsely linked to them.
The sisters filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after the video began circulating on social media last night. Speaking to the media, they revealed this is part of ongoing harassment by a specific group.
“This isn’t the first time such a video has been shared,” they said. “We are being harassed repeatedly, and it has to stop.”
The CID is working to identify the creators and those sharing the video online. Legal action is underway against all involved.
Fighting back tears, Anushki and Kanushki urged the public to support women facing such harassment. They stressed the emotional toll this abuse has taken on them.
