Deeya Sharma (born 13 November 2006) is a Canadian dancer and member of the dance duo DJC, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Alongside her partner Jayda Bhinder, Deeya co-founded DJC as an all-female dance act in response to Vancouver’s male-dominated street dance scene.
Deeya’s interest in dance started at a young age, and she began training in various styles such as Bollywood, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. With her passion for dance growing, she formed DJC with Jayda to inspire and empower young Indo-Canadian girls.
In 2023, DJC participated in the eighth season of Canada’s Got Talent, which aired on City TV. The duo received positive reviews from the judges and the audience for their unique style and synchronized movements.
Beyond her career as a dancer, Deeya is also passionate about mental health awareness and actively supports organizations working to break mental health stigma.
At the age of 15, Deeya’s dedication and talent as a dancer have earned her recognition in the dance community and beyond. She hopes to continue pursuing her passion for dance while inspiring and uplifting young girls through her performances with DJC.
