Abebe Erigete, also known as Abe Cyca Cyca, is a 28-year-old circus performer originally from Ethiopia, currently residing in Toronto, Ontario. He gained prominence as a participant in the 2023 season of Canada’s Got Talent, which was broadcast on City TV.
Abebe’s passion for circus performance began at a young age. At just 10 years old, he enrolled in the Addis Africa Circus School in Ethiopia, where he received extensive training in various forms of circus arts. Over the years, he honed his skills in acrobatics, juggling, and aerial acts, becoming an accomplished performer in his own right.
While pursuing his passion, Abebe heard about performers in China who were using a ladder in their routine. Intrigued by this new form of circus performance, he decided to experiment with the ladder himself. After many hours of practice, he was able to incorporate the ladder into his routine, adding a new and unique element to his performances.
In 2023, Abebe’s hard work and dedication paid off when he was selected to participate in Canada’s Got Talent. His performances wowed both the judges and the audience, earning him praise and admiration from all quarters. His innovative use of the ladder in his routine was impressive, quickly becoming his signature move.
