On Monday’s American Idol, a field of 20 was whittled down to the Top 12 within 24 hours. During the live show, host Ryan Seacrest disclosed the names of the 10 contestants who advanced based on the 28 million votes cast nationwide.

Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan determined who would fill the remaining positions. This was a dramatic conclusion to the performance. Those who are fortunate enough to advance will be mentored by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alumni Adam Lambert on April 30. This week, those selected will also travel to the Stagecoach Music Festival, where they will watch Luke perform from the front row.

Who risked entering the victory zone? Who sat in the perilous area? Did your fave performer survive to sing again? Reduce the brightness of the lamps. Here we go.

Wé Ani

After closing last night’s performance with Adele’s “Skyfall,” the 24-year-old was the first contestant to enter the Top 12 this morning. She subsequently delivered an outstanding performance in “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman.

Warren Peay

Last night, Zach Williams praised Warren’s performance of his tune, and America agreed, voting the appliance repairman into the Top 12. The 24-year-old celebrated by performing “It’s Not My Time” by 3 Doors Down.

Haven Madison

America concurred with the judges that she possesses stardust and voted her into the top 12 of the competition. The 17-year-old then took the stage to perform “15,” which she had previously performed during her audition. Are we currently witnessing the next Taylor Swift?

Tyson Venegas

The only remaining platinum ticket holder reached the Top 12 thanks to America. The Canadian teenager celebrated his victory by performing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” by Elton John.

Colin Stough

The son of a proud mother secured a place in the Top 12 by winning over the American public. This 18-year-old then performed “Dancing on My Own” by Robyn in an intimate manner. Luke leaped up and down in jubilation after observing the performance. He even approached the HVAC technician to give him a hug. Katy told the optimistic individual, “One moment can change your life, and that was your moment.”

Marybeth Byrd

The 22-year-old entered the Top 12 based on the votes of Americans. In order to celebrate the positive news, the radio host performed “Cover Me Up” by Jason Isbell.

Oliver Steele

On Sunday, the United States voted him into the Top 12 due to its approval of his original song. The 25-year-old then performed “You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain in a chill beachy style. He stated that he will not second-guess himself in the future.

Iam Tongi

His “timeless” Abba cover from Sunday propelled him into the Top 12 with ease. The internet sensation then signed “Stuck On You” by Mr. Lionel Richie, who subsequently hugged him on stage. Despite Ryan’s best efforts to swat it away, the insect returned during the performance.

Zachariah Smith

The national vote kept the 21-year-old burger flipper’s Top 12 hopes alive. He commemorated the occasion by performing “Hold the Line” by Toto. Katy was astonished by her facial expression.

Lucy Love

Sunday’s performance of “Boulders” by the 28-year-old mother wrenched at the heartstrings, but it wasn’t enough to make the Top 12 in America’s voting. She laid down her vocals on “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons to ensure her survival. Fans chanted Lucy following. Lionel stated, “If I have to bet on anyone, I’ll bet on you.” Lucy was spared by the judges and entered the final twelve contestants.

Megan Danielle

Based on their votes, the 21-year-old server secured the final place in the Top 12 list. She then returned to her audition with another song by Lauren Daigle, “Thank God I Do.”

Nutsa

The international singer concluded the evening’s performances, expecting to earn the judges’ approval. She channeled her inner Jennifer Hudson for the Dreamgirls song “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.” A song selection with an obvious message. Luke remarked that she performed exceptionally well, especially under such intense strain. Katy and Luke declared their love for Nutsa and granted her their remaining Top 12 judge’s spot.

Olivia Soli, Kaeyra, Matt Wilson, Paige Anne, Nailya Serenity, Mariah Faith, Hannah Nicolaisen, and Michael Williams were eliminated after the Top 12 were determined. There are many audience favorites on this list. What do you believe about the outcome? Comment in the section below.
